Aspiring to a spiritual relationship

To have a spiritual relationship is to consciously acknowledge that above all we are spiritual beings and that the process of our spiritual refinement is our true undertaking in this life. An emotional

relationship operates in time, the spiritual relationship has timeless

infinity as its context. Rather than framing itself in life on earth, it knows that we are all far more than we appear to be, and it joyfully claims as its territory a cosmos that includes an infinity of angels, and all the stunning coincidental events that are the mysterious instruments of God. When we love one another in spirit, along with loving each other, we will also be the champion of each others spiritual well being, helping ensuring that each person will make the choices that will

allow for their soul’s evolution. This may mean creating an

environment in which the spirit can flourish, or doing those things like meditating, praying, or creating sacred skin through tattooing that will encourage the union of our spirits. By sharing experiences of the

sacred , you will be reminded that the divine is always with us. We live in the midst of it ; and it lives in the midst of us. In a spiritual

relationship, we are not seeking the satisfactions of the ego in a

conventional way. Instead, we are aware that we are spirits and that we are on the spirit’s journey. Remember a thousand mile journey

begins with a single step. The disappointments of the moment and even tragedies of a lifetime are seen not as happenings which are

absolutes in themselves but finite, irritating specks on the larger screen of vision. The spiritual relationship is gracious, easy, considerate, and kind. Real spiritual love is a grace, unattainable through effort. It is a gift of the spirit, not a consequence of endeavor. It is not an outcome to be worked toward, but a treasure to be received. When spirit

engages with matter and we become human beings, our souls still holds memories of what it was to live in freedom, before the confines of embodiment, intellect, and personality, restricting our timeless and radiant essence. We are spirits, visitors, explores here on earth, who have stepped into life in human costume. Most of us think we receive information through our eyes, ears, noses, and hands, and of course we do; but as well as allowing information in, these organs of perception also serve to limit our  perceptions. When we see with our eyes we may not have seen all there is to see, when we touch with our hands, we may not have felt all there is to feel. Being open to receive the

message what ever its form, means being open with your

consciousness. It means that instead of settling for your minds

translation of the messages your sensory organs have received ,you will also be available with your body and your heart to hear, see, feel, and know. The body is a totally sensing instrument. It is our sacred

opportunity in this life to expand and expand until we become

receptive to every message, what ever its form, to be open to such a degree that we can apprehend the truth embodied in everything and everyone.
